With a total of 40 black boxes, new images and scenes were constantly being created on stage – sometimes a throne, a traffic light or a pulpit, then a circus or even a saloon. The deliberate contrast to a white environment reinforced the effect of these changeable backdrops. The audience was enthusiastic and rewarded the performers with long applause.
The play combines theater with poetry, drawing on texts by Goethe and modern lyrical elements, among other things. Creative transitions develop a new world scene by scene—always with the boxes as the central element.
The artists are currently working on expanding the successful 25-minute version into a full-length piece. A premiere in Karlsruhe is already being planned, with further performances in the region and beyond to follow.
We are delighted that our boxes are part of this special project, not only as a packaging solution, but also as a design element for creative stage art.
