With immediate effect, DELBROUCK GmbH from Menden has procured machines, tools and industrial property rights to manufacture beverage crates from Linpac Allibert (formerly Stucki) in Bad Salzuflen. This transaction covers only the production of beverage crates, which will be continued seamlessly by the new owner. The other production departments in Bad Salzuflen are not affected by this and will continue to be run by Linpac Allibert. This sale by Linpac Allibert is the result of the requirements of the German Federal Cartel Office in connection with the takeover of the company by One Equity Partners in March 2012. The portfolio of One Equity Partners already includes various well-known companies in the transport packaging sector, including Schoeller Arca Systems.
The parties involved have agreed to keep the financial details confidential.
With this purchase, DELBROUCK is further expanding its market position in Germany in the beverage crate sector. This enhancement of its capacity will enable DELBROUCK to implement major projects involving large lot sizes in a short period. The company will also continue to expand its presence in neighbouring countries.
“We expect this step to lead to a significant increase in our sales, which will also have a positive effect on our locations in Menden and Neuhaus-Schierschnitz,” explains Eckhard Broer, Managing Director of DELBROUCK.
DELBROUCK has received the award for “Product of the Year 2012” in the category Storage and Transport Systems from the Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff e.V. (Industry Association for Semi-finished and Consumer Products Made of Plastic). The top-class jury of experts from a wide range of fields is very impressed by the new beverage crate: “The days of the simple bottle crate are past. DELBROUCK seamless crate design is revolutionising the world of bottle crates. A thrilling idea which achieves a great advertising impact.”
With this award DELBROUCK documents its leading position and expertise in in-mould label technology.
